FAQ

What is a "mod" watch?

A modified watch is built on a reliable Japanese movement and fitted with a custom case, dial, hands, bezel and bracelet to recreate a classic design. It is a fully working, mechanical or meca-quartz watch, not a toy or a fashion accessory.

Are these genuine luxury-brand watches?

No. OctoMods watches are modified Seiko watches inspired by famous silhouettes. Many have the Seiko logo on the dial because they run on the highest-quality Seiko movements. They are not affiliated with any luxury watch manufacturer.

Which movement is inside?

Most pieces use the Seiko NH35 automatic (no battery, powered by the motion of your wrist). GMT models use the Seiko NH34, and chronograph models use the Seiko VK63 meca-quartz. The exact calibre is listed on each product page.

How do I size the bracelet?

Any local jeweller or watch shop can size the bracelet in a few minutes. If you have a link removal tool, push out the pins on the links marked with arrows, remove what you need and reinsert the pin.

Are the watches water resistant?

Our watches are rated 3–5 ATM: fine for hand-washing, rain and splashes, but not for swimming, showering or diving. Don't operate the crown or chronograph pushers when wet. The rating for each watch is on its product page.

How long does delivery take?

Orders are dispatched with tracking and usually arrive within 7–14 business days across Europe. Shipping is a flat €5.99.

Can I return my watch?

Yes. You have 14 days from delivery to return an unworn watch in its original packaging. See our Refund policy.

Is there a warranty?

Every watch is covered for 2 years against manufacturing defects. See our Warranty page.

Which currencies do you accept?

Prices are shown in your local currency automatically. You can pay with major cards, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
